#25 Finding the Perfect Apparel for the Gentlemen

I have been debating back and forth about what E and the boys should wear to our wedding. Don’t tell E that I told you this, but he sweats like the guy in that AXE commercial with the projectile sweat. We are getting married on July 4th at 5:30 p.m. (no I couldn’t have picked a hotter day for my sweaty sweaty man). I think it would be terribly mean of me to force him (and the rest of the groomsmen) to wear a full tux/suit (and pay to rent them). BUT, I’m not wearing a casual dress (see: dress post) and so I don’t want them to look too casual.

The look I’m thinking might work perfecto (with our black and white and blue theme) is a fitted white button down with a skinny black tie and black pants (so kindly modeled below by Robert Pattinson). Does anyone have pics of a wedding party in similar attire? Or other ideas that won’t cause the boys to overheat? Thanks loves!

  1. Have you considered navy pants with a nice white or grey pinstripe? Paired with a crisp white shirt and matching vests + a navy tie – I think that would be a casual (yet formal) look. And no one will mistake them for te waitstaff!

  2. haha busted! it is anthony’s! we originally wanted a teeny beach wedding on martha’s vineyard, but then our guest list exploded. i was determined to have my toesies in the sand when i said I DO!
